It’s a baffling world we live in today…

Found these two very interesting and controversial articles about people being attacked for “not doing their jobs correctly.” What do you think?

Read ONE and 1) Summarize it (2-3 sentences), 2) Write your (2 sentence) reaction to it, and 3) Do you believe this was professional misconduct? Why or why not? (2 sentences)

This article is about an air traffic controller at an airport in new york city. He brought his two children in to a plane. He allowed them to speak with pilots on an air traffic control frequency . My reaction to this is that he probably didn’t mean no harm. But it is shocking how he would have such an idea. I believe this isn’t proffesional at all because you don’t mix your job with your personal life. He also made the airport look very unproffecional.

The people involved in the incident obviously considered the lives of all the people on all the planes. They consider people’s lives every second of everyday and with every syllable that they speek. It’s unfortunate that the Dad and supervisor didn’t consider the inevitable onslaught of character attacks from the under informed general public. While the action itself was not dangerous, they should expect some reprimand because the FAA is a federal organization that answers to the people. That is a very sad thought because I’m sure they are very skilled controllers

After bringing his children to work, an air traffic controller and his supervisor went under investigation because the air traffic controller allowed his children to speak with pilots through an air control frequency.
My reaction to this was that the air traffic controller did violate FAA’s policies and standards for misconduct but I guess he just wanted to show his kids what he does at work and there’s nothing wrong with that. A pilot even said that the situation was well controlled.
It was professional misconduct but then again nothing went wrong. I think the air traffic controller had things in control with his kids there and the kids knew what to do in the control tower.

This article is about an air traffic controller and his supervisor that are under investigation. They are under investigation because the air controller brought his two small children into the control tower and he allowed them to speak with the pilots on an air traffic control frequency. This incident occurred last month at John F. Kennedy Airport in New York. Randy Babbitt said that this type of conduct violated FAA’s policies and that the workers misconduct professionally. I think that it’s not fair for them to be under investigation because they didn’t commit any crime, the only thing the air controller did was to take his children to work and that’s it. He let them talk to the pilots but the pilots understood what the child was saying and they were even happy. One of the pilots said “Wish I could bring my kid to work.” The same pilot later tells the child, “Awesome job.” As we can see nothing was going wrong so I think that it’s not fair for them to be under investigation. This can be consider professional misconduct because it violated some policies but in my opinion it’s not because they were doing their work right and nothing went wrong.

1)The FAA is investigating the lack of professionalism of a traffic controller and his supervisor, the reason is that the controller brought his two childs and let them talk with a pilot in the air traffic control frequency. This event occurred in one of the most busiest airports in the world, the John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York. It’s a big problem for the FAA because they said that in one the most busiest this types of misconduct from the employees should not occur and be allowed.
2)My opinion about this problem is that the FAA is totally right because anything can happen in this type of airports. The employees may consider this as a joke but it’s not because anything can go wrong to a plane trying to take off or set down by a mistake of the tower controller or anyone.
3)It is a professional misdisconduct because those people are there to work and not to be making “jokes”. Also, a job of this category needs a lot of care from many people, from the controllers, the pilot, etc. Finally, the United States has many ways in which it can be attacked and affected, for example terrorist that use planes for their attacks so all of those employees should take their jobs more seriously.

this is the article that i chose and it is about An air traffic controller and his supervisor who are under investigation. they are under investigation because the controller brought his two small children into the control tower and allowed them to speak with pilots on an air traffic control frequency. i think that a controller wanting to bring his kids to his job was ok. i mean he wanted to shoe his kids what he does at work and he wanted his kids to try it. i believe this was professional misconduct because he was still doing his job just that his kids were invovled. I think that he didn’t do anything wrong so i feel like people are over reacting.

A traffic controller and his supervisor are being investigate because the controller brought his two sons and they let one of the child to talk with one pilot in the air traffic control frequency.
In my opinion I think that they shouldn’t do that because something could happen in that moment any accident but like other children this child just wanted to do what his father do and maybe the controller just wanted to fulfill his dreams to his son.
That professional misconduct because a professional don’t do that, and also they know that there is a lot of terrorist.
