This article is about an 8.8 earthquake that occured in chile. In which killed more than 700 people . Since chile is a more developed country than haiti its death toll was lower. People thought it was going to be higher since the earthquake was stronger. Funds are being raised to help out families and those in needs.
My reaction towards this shocking how mother nature can affect a country. It must be really traumatizing for the people living there or people who lost families and homes.Everything possible is to be done to help these people.

More than 700 people died in Chile by a tragic 8.8-magnitude earthquake that left many civilians homeless. This earthquake was one of the most powerful quakes ever recorded. Many roads have been damaged and there is short supply of food and water and there are difficulties in distributing food, water, blankets and other supplies.
I think this is a very terrible natural disaster that has affected many peoples lives. These people need as much help as possible because there are a lot of people homeless, who needs clothes on there back and some sort of shelter over their heads.

Chile had one of the most powerful earthquakes ever recorded with a magnitude of 8.8 that killed 700 people. This earthquake was stronger than the one in Haiti with a 7.0-magnitude but the death toll was lower because Chile is a more developed country with better abilities to respond to a disaster and it has more quake-resistant buildings. Many roads and bridges had been damage or destroy and communications were down in many areas making this more difficult to distribute food, water, blankets and jerry cans. Chile is getting help from the international community. I feel a little bit sad for the people that die in the earthquake but at the same time I’m glad because not a lot of people die compared to Haiti. I’m also glad because the international community it’s also helping Chile, even though Chile doesn’t seem to need as much help as Haiti, but this shows how as human beings we can be united helping each other in the hard times.

On February 27, 2010, an earthquake of 8.8 magnitude occured in Chile. This queake is consider the most powerful in South America since the 80s. Around 700 people died and thousands are really affected by the earthquake. A tsunami added to the distruction of this country increasing the numbers of deaths.
This catastrophe really impacted the people, since the 2010 began more than one problem made by nature occurred. Haiti and Chile are having really big problems to fix the situation of each country.

since the earthquake that hit Chile which destroyed alot of raods and buildings and killed 700 people the british red cross has offered to help the chilean red cross with field hospitals, tents, telecommunications equipment, and electric generators. they are also going to collect food and have them sent immediately to communities which have been most affected by the earthquake. But the good thing is that Chile was able to respond to survive the earthquake better than Haiti because has the right resources.

My reaction towards this is shocked. I can’t believe that last month we had an earthquake hit Haiti severly and now a month later we have another earthquake come and hit Chile and kill so many people and destroy communities and have people suffer.

This article is about the earthquake in Chile. It was an 8.8 earthquake and it killed more then 700 people in Chile. That is way less people killed in the earthquake in Haiti. That is because Chile’s status as a more developed country with better disaster preparedness notably in the quality of its more quake-resistant buildings. I am really shocked bout this, because there these earthquakes happening & where will the next earthquake be? There is children , babies , families without a home. Old perople in needed of help and that is the part dat is more sad bout these disaters
