President Obama is defintly going the right way and has my full suport on this topic. It isn’t fair that we have people who are dieing just because the government doesn’t want to pay the medical bill. It is also unfair how the people who don’t need the help get it, for example my sister tells me how she sees ladys coming out of BMWs at the pharmacy she workds in but yet stillhave medicaid paying for there medicine. President Obama needs to take actions on this type of stuff immediatly and also on some other things he promised when he was running. If his promises aren’t completed i highly doubt people will be reallecting him in 2012.

i dont really have a link but with the news on the media i been viewing alot of Obama’s new changes for health care. i would say i agree with most of the changes he is doing to improve the state and ofcourse health care which many out there need medical attention but some cant afford or cant get hold of a medicad or something, -My boyfriend is 20 and he he has been trying to sign up for a medicad for about 1year and a half and it was hard for him because basically what many ask is income and he needs to get surgery for his knee (very badly).. so i guess if the changes obama is making could actually benifit many then he should continue and i will support it 100%

I agreed with President Obama because there a lot of people out there with sickness and need help with there health care. There people that do have health care and can pay the doctor when they visit. It going to make life easier. He should give it to the people that need it the most and that struggle in life.

i agreed with a lot of what he said because theres a lot of people who’s healthcare really doesn’t help them out like it should. I like how if you like your insurance, you can keep it and no more denial of coverage for pre-existing conditions. The most important is no dropped coverage when you get sick. what i didnt understand is the tax credits for individuals and small business. and if they are now going to help all these individuals who cant afford doesnt that mean that now they might have to raise the taxes.it does sound like a something that will be successful and finally help millions of sick people.i also think that its really great for Obama to really try to improve the healthcare plan.

I agree with Obama’s plan because it’s helping out America citizens and their health care, it can help out people that are ill and people that can’t afford health insurance. It Talk’s about how the government is going to decrease health insurance so people can afford it. I think Obama’s plan will work because it will protect citizens Medicare benefits and it will improve the quality and reduce beneficiary. Also I agree with this plan because it will increase the health insurance also decrease the people dying. The change I would make would deal with the tax penalty. Instead of giving the money to Medicaid the money will go to the person insurance. It is interesting that if the government cut Medicaid, paid fees and taxes it will help 36 million American to get government insurance. Finally, the plan for the health care has been a success for many people and Obama is trying hard to work and improve on his plan.

I do agree with the fact that President obama is trying to push the health care reford, and help out the society making the idea of health care more visible and legible for most people because not everyone has the chance to be accepted to get health care with what i do not agree is that in the reform alot of other things are being placed insetd of just foucusin in one area not involving Abortion, business and others. Another good plan that President Obama is traying to work on is the economy and the waste that the people go trew when they visit a doctor and any apoiment i think this is good because not every family is going to be able to pay the high debs that the doctor will charge for, So i do agree with President Obamas reform plan.

I didn’t know and don’t like the fact that those people who already have health insurance might suffer the consequences of of actually paying more taxes, might have less health care and no protection if you lose the current plan you have. I’m not liking his idea of a Health Plan. He wants to raise the rich peoples taxes so he can finance the cost of the health plan. Coming to my understanding, he wants to slow the growth of the health care spending. Not a good idea Obama.

In the last three decades, the Health Care Reform has been denied by the Senate in Washington D.C but Obama does not want it to keep happening. He is putting more pressure to the Senate to accept his reform. The Senate said that this reform will take nearly half the U.S. economy, but that the president already has in mind. President Obama said in a meeting with the Senate that this step will increase the economy although he did not give details. I agree with this type of change that the president wants to do and so if someone is seriously injured will be treated without much trouble as it is today. The Senate should pass this law so that all the insured people regardless of their legal status in this country.

i agree with Obama health care plan because he is ensurin that workers will have affordable coverage. Also giving them options he really cares about the people that dont have health care and trying to reach to small business by giving them affordable coverage. He is handling this situation quite right.

I agree with the way Obama is pushing the health care reform.I think that if he keeps this plan going, then the U.S.A wont be spending so much money as before on health care and people who become ill will have coverage.I agree with the way he directly addresses health insurance companies which can somtimes take many rights oway from people depending on there sex or race. Also it is important that he eliminates extra charges for preventive care like mammograms, flu shots and diabetes tests to improve health and save money.I do believe Obama did the right thing by making this plan.

I agree with with obama trying to push the health care reform. But what i disagree with is that why does it have to go to votes why don’t they try to just pass the law. One thing i didnt know that was that democrats need a GOP member to complete the number of votes for the health care rform because Ted Kennedy and Robert Byrd were too sick to make the it to the votes.

The results of the new health care reform on the abortion issue is just as confusing and controversial as the abortion issue itself. I guess I do agree with the bill in its aid for the low- and middle-income people. It’s a little unusual and suspicious though that a Catholic Bishop had done some lobbying in the bill’s decision of being pro-life. However, I guess I do agree with a bishop spokesperson in “that providing health care is itself a pro-life thing.” I have an overall moderate perspective on the issue- I’m more pro-life, but I believe everyone is still entitled to their own beliefs. However, I think the bill is provocative and has a set double standard for pro-choice/abortionists because if they qualify financially to be subsidized, they still won’t qualify for health coverage. But, I guess the bigger question is still, how exactly will the overall health care bill be covered for anyone?

This article is about President Obama’s health care reform. The article tells how democratic leaders were trying to gather votes for the reform. A lot of politicians were saying that they are not going to support this reform especially republicans and the reason is because they said that in a recession is no a good idea to raise taxes and according to them this reform does that. I think that this health care reform should be passed because a lot of people don’t have health insurance and they don’t have the money to pay for medications and medical expenses and what this reform is going to do is to give health insurance to those people that don’t have one. This is very important because now people are going to have the opportunity to be checked by doctors more often and prevent diseases without worrying too much about money. That’s why I think that the health care reform should be passed because the most precious thing that we have as human beings is our health.

I got my information from two different places.
    1.) http://www.nytimes.com/2009/11/08/health/policy/08health.html?scp=3&sq=Health%20Care%20Reform&st=cse
    2.) http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/11/14/AR2009111401597.html?sub=AR

I agree with the health care reform because now everyone has health care. Before, if you didn’t, you’d have to pay like hundreds of dollars to get a check up or anything. I am not to happy about the trillion dollar spending. I mean we’re in a recession, we don’t have money to spend, & I am pretty sure that those trillions of dollars is going to come out of tax payers money. Obama is meeting his goals one by one & his idea was to pick this country up from the ground & he’s doing it, of course with help from other people. I didn’t even know a new health care was in session. But like anything else, when you do something right, something wrong always happens, & last week they passed the health care reform & now this week, they’re talking about the healthcare reformation having to do with abortion.

“5 Freedoms You’d Lose in Health Care Reform”
    http://money.cnn.com/2009/07/24/news/economy/health_care_reform_obama.fortune/index.htm

The is saying that the two main health care bills contradict what Obama promises for Americans.”President Obama has repeatedly reassured Americans that they can keep their existing health plans — and that the benefits and access they prize will be enhanced through reform”. What we will lose is the freedom to choose what is in our plan, freedom to be rewarded for healthy living, or pay your real costs, not able to choose a high-deductable coverage, freedom to keep your existing plan and lasty, the liberty to choose your doctors. I was surprised when reading all of this and I was just wondering if this could all be true. Why would Obama say we can keep our existing health plans while in the bill it says we can’t? I didn’t know about any of this but Obama wants to give health care to all Americans and thats a first.

“I suffer no illusions that this will be an easy process. It will be hard. But I also know that nearly a century after Teddy Roosevelt first called for reform, the cost of our health care has weighed down our economy and the conscience of our nation long enough. So let there be no doubt: health care reform cannot wait, it must not wait, and it will not wait another year.”

Obama is planning to help everybody with health care no matter their legal status their economic situation or their race. He is saying that no one should be deny from health care and that nobody is going to be force to change the way the businesses deal with health care i agree that everyboby should have achance to have a check up and that they should not be fire or go to dept because they cant pay for their doctors. I love this idea because lots of people with low income need it.

“this is a health care bill not an abortion bill”
i thinck this is a very strong case. But obama believes that federal dollars are not used to subsized abortions.I thinck there is a point to that abortions should only be made if needed but they dont want to make sure that there not restricting to womens insurance choices.

i didnt know Obama would meet three basic goals. It will provide more security and stability to those who have health insurance. It will provide insurance for those who don’t. And it will slow the growth of health care costs for our families, our businesses, and our government. It’s a plan that asks everyone to take responsibility for meeting this challenge — not just government, not just insurance companies, but everybody including employers and individuals. And it’s a plan that incorporates ideas from senators and congressmen, from Democrats and Republicans, from some of my opponents in both the primary and general election.

    http://www.nytimes.com/2009/11/08/health/policy/08health.html?scp=3&sq=Health%20Care%20Reform&st=cse

On Saturday the House approved the nation’s health care system. The final votes were 220 to 215. This plan costs $1.1 trillion for a period of 10 years. Democrats state that the House will extend coverage to 36 million people who dont have insurance, while at the same time creating a government health insurance program. This will prevent insurance companies from not covering pre-existing conditions and dropping people when they become ill. Obama hopes to sign this health reform into law by the end of the year. I agree that all Americans should have health insurance so that way they can be protected. Not everybody can afford health insurance and by Obama doing this it will greatly help many. Although I did know that Obama was fighting for health care reform, I didn’t know that just recently this system was approved.

I this article was talking about how the president Obama wants to wrap up the health care sitution and wants to fix more problems in the country. President Obama is concerned about the people without any insureance. President Obama’s goal is to sign a health bill into law by the end of this year. Obama is doing his best to come up with a good health care for those who need it. I do agree with Obama’s speech I think he should make a difference to this country. Help those people in need. I dont understand the article in the end but the rest i do.

This article has to do with presidents Obama’s health care reform. this article is mostly about abortion, and how is it going to work with the new health care plan. i agree with president Obama that the point of this health care was not to change the law of abortion that federal dollars are not used to subsidize abortions. unless is a case of rape, incest,or the life of the women is in dangerous. i believe that women should have the right to pro-choice but to a limit. but i disagree with what other politicians want to do that is to use this health care reform to restrict the right of pro-choice and that no women should get an abortion even if they have private insurance, i think that if a women really needs to get an abortion for any of the cases mentioned above then they should have the right to do it, but if a women is just taking it as a game as a hobby doing it just because she cant used protection then there is where they should not be allowed to get one.

    Obama in Asia:
I think that president Obama did the right thing on going to North Korea so they wont keep on building more nuclear weapons and prevent any other thing happening.I have to disagree on one point because in order for North Korea to stop building nuclear weapons they are going to want money. The thing is that we cant afford to go on more recession than we already are, there going to want probably billions of dollars to stop building it.What Obama wants to do is be friends with them or as a nation. The other thing is that Obama wants to do is prevent another war,it will be devastating and our economy will be 100 times worse than it already is.
